My mother was the most courageous woman I have ever known.
Barbara Ruttenberg

Dear friends
I have very fond memories of Mrs. R., first when I was an exchange student and then when I returned to Lexington. She was so sweet and welcoming to all of us "kids" in the block. I am thinking of you at this time of sorrow. She is at peace now. Love, Amparo (and Mitch)

Micheal and Tom, I am thinking of you both at this time of great sadness. It was beautiful to witness such love and devotion from both of you. Thinking of the freedom her soul now experiences, fills me with great hope and calming peace. Quietly and gently all things rise away from suffering. I love you both very much.
