Pauline Simmons was born August 7, 1928 and was a resident of East Texas her entire life. Born in Shelbyville, Texas, she was preceded in death by her parents, Christopher C. Bell and Jim Hill Bell. Mrs. Simmons had a single sibling, Herman C. Bell, who also preceded her in death. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 47 years, Wesley Lloyd Simmons; three children, Gay Hull and son-in-law, Jerry, of Charleston, South Carolina, Diane Morrison of Longview, Texas, and Mark Simmons and daughter-in-law Lesa of Silsbee, Texas. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Blake Nelson, Dustin Ray, Joshua Ray, Brandon Laird, Chase Simmons, and Logan Simmons; and six great grandchildren: Sydney Barkley-Nelson, Kayden Ray, Makayla Ray, and Jaxon Ray, Caden Laird, and Paxton Laird. Pauline worked as part owner with her parents at the Blue Diner Café in Henderson, Texas. She worked in sales at Brook Mays Music in Tyler, Texas, and as a local real estate agent. She cooked countless delicious family meals, grew beautiful flower gardens, enjoyed camping, and spending time with family on the delightful lakes of East Texas. Mrs. Simmons surviving family would like to express a special thanks the wonderful nurses and staff at Beacon Hospice for the loving care provided to our dear wife and mother in her final days. The family request that memorial donations be made to Beacon Hospice at Margaret's House, PO BOX 5908 Longview, Texas 75608. A memorial guestbook may be signed online at www.raderfh.com.
