Pauline H. Suffredinin

Pauline H. Suffredinin was born December 27,1929 and passed away on February 27, 2002. Through tearful eyes we celebrate the beautiful life of Pauline Harper Suffredini who recently took her final journey to the Kingdom of God. We mourn because of the crushing loss we have endured at the passing of this most loving, devoted mother and wife and compassionate friend of all who needed her help. Pauline was a registered nurse licensed in both Virginia and Texas prior to her retirement. Her experience spanned the professional spectrum from nurse anesthetist, operating room supervisor, instruction of student nurses, early open-heart surgery studies to mental health nursing at the federal governments mental hospital, St. Elizabeths, in Washington, D.C. She happily sacrificed a promising professional career to raise five children and did so with the same loving, gentle, compassionate care she had earlier lavished on those entrusted to her nursing care. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Julia Ann, and is now survived by her heart-broken husband of 49 happy years, G. L. (Lou) Suffredini, daughter, Teresa Suffredini Atkinson and her husband, Ford; three sons, Christopher Louis, Michael Thomas and his wife, Jennifer, and John Joseph and his wife, Dr. Paige Suffredini; and her sisters Juanita Wilburn and her husband, Jim, and Nora Rigsby and her husband, Junior. Pauline delighted in her grand-children Meredith, Amanda, Joy, Anthony, John Michael, Christine, Clark, Thomas and Sophia Anne who, in turn were delighted by her gentle kindness and home-made biscuits and sweets. The family will receive friends at a viewing and rosary service at 6:00 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2002 at Emmaus Catholic Church, Lakeway Texas. There will be a Mass of the Resur-rection dedicated to the repose of Pauline's soul celebrated Saturday at 10:00 a.m. on March 2, 2002 at Emmaus Catholic Church, Lakeway, Texas. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lakeway Associates of Seton. Please call 512-261-4766 for details.
