MEMPHIS, Tennessee
Pearl Johnson Dash began her life September 26, 1928. Pearl was the youngest child born to Robert Cole Johnson and Alvah Nelson Johnson.
She was baptized at Union Baptist Church in Hartford, CT at an early age. Later in life, she united with Hopewell Baptist Church in Windsor, CT where she remained a member for over 40 years until she moved to Memphis. Pearl was a member under watch care at St Paul Baptist Church for the many years she visited Memphis. Pearl united with First Baptist Church Broad when she made Memphis her home.
Pearl leaves behind 2 daughters, Sharon Dash(JoAnna) and Shelley Dash Lewis, 3 grandchildren- Nycole Dash, Charles (ShaRon) Lewis II, and Amber M. Lewis, 5 great grandchildren- Nycholas, Ciara, Jeremiah, Charles III, and Chelsey, and 1 great-great grandchild, Jordyn Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers: Robert, Harvey, Christopher Allen, and Thomas Walter, 3 sisters: Mary, Barbara and Alvah.

This picture was taken the last Sunday you was at Hopewell Baptist church. Miss you, sister Pearl Dash. You brought me onto the nurses' Union and taught me a lot. May you sleep in peace ❤
