GORDON--Dr. Pearl-Ellen, (nee Clayman), beloved mother of Adam (Oleksii) and Timothy (Rachel), grandmother of Benjamin and Tatum, Lilly and Noah, sister of Charles (Dee) Clayman, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023. Dr. Gordon's family was her pride and joy, and she was a renowned psychoanalyst, celebrated by her patients, colleagues, and trainees for her empathy and exceptional care. Funeral will be held Monday, February 13, 2023 at 11am at Riverside Memorial Chapel (180 W. 76th St., New York, NY 10023).

Pearl Ellen Gordon was a friend of my parents. She remains supportive of my mother when my mother needed some support. I had not seen her in over 25 years and I regret never thanking her for her courage.

Sending condolences to the entire family. Pearl-Ellen was my supervisor at ICP and I miss her. She talked about her children, their partners, and her grandchildren often in supervision. In fact, there was not a week that went by when she would not bring them up, always in a loving way. I could tell how much she adored them and how she couldn't move too far in any particular direction without thinking of them. I feel for them in this moment and I am holding both of them in my heart. Goodbye, Pearl-Ellen. We will miss you.
