I am so very sorry for your loss. Our families shared a friendship that has lasted for many years. My father, John Wyatt provided car pooling for your mother and others to Carver High School, and we shared many family events that we shall always cherish. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We ask that God will grant you peace during this difficult time.

My heartfelt condolences go out to the Wimby Family. Mrs. Peggie Wimby was an integral part of the "village" that raised me. Had it not been for her, I would not have received the introduction to basketball that I requested when I boldly walked up to her front door at the age of 12 and asked if her husband would be willing to teach me how to play the game. She was one of the forces that controlled the classrooms and hallways of Southwest High School. She was small in stature, but a GIANT...

mrs. wimby was one of those special teachers who connected with students and was able to reach them with compassionate authority and understanding. it didn't matter if you were a current student, former student, or never a student in her class - she genuinely cared about you. in her eyes, no student was a klutz or phys ed failure. she was intent on bringing out the best in you, whether you were an athletic type or a bookish type. she understood the awkward phases some 8th & 9th graders go...

My condolences to the Wimby family. As a former student, I can sincerely say Mrs. Wimby made a lasting positive impact on my life and I will always be grateful for it.
