Peggy Gafford Balliet

Peggy Balliet was pure class! I had the privilege of being her neighbor on Chester Road in the 1990s and enjoyed her wonderful inclusive Christmas parties. When my 2 year old broke some of her china she laughed and smiled and handled it with grace. I loved seeing her drive her blue convertible bug through Mountain Brook Village. I think she had a thousand party chairs stored in her basement and was always eager to lend them at a moments notice. She was generous in every way. I enjoyed reading...

Remember Peggy when she was involved with Alabama Kidney Foundation. My late husband(Martin Earl Donegan) was on board and we were involved with Birmingham District. We were very appreciative of all her hard work for patients with kidney disease. My husband was a kidney transplant patient of 1973 and was fortunate to have his Mother donate a kidney.
