Peggy Sue Barnes

Peggy Sue Barnes, age 59, of Fairmount, IN, died Monday, February 8, 2010, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.Peggy had been the owner/operator of employed by Frills & Freckles Day Care and had worked at Kiddy Prep in Marion. Peggy was actively involved in the community with Helping Hands Care & Share, board member of St. Martins, Boys & Girls Club, Round Robins, and the Fairmount Civil Defense. She was a member of Liberty Friends Church, the County Crafters Club was an American Red Cross instructor. Peggy enjoyed collecting angels and dolls and doing crafts. She was an Ohio State and Cleveland Browns Fan. She was the daughter of the late William Burleson and Jean (Hannen) Burleson. She was born on March 30, 1950 in Canton, Ohio. She graduated from Minerva Ohio High School and 1968 and from Millegan College in Johnson City, TN with a degree in child psychology. She married Harvey L. Barnes Sr. on February 15, 1976 at Little Ridge Friends Church. She is also survived by her husband: Harvey Barnes, Fairmount, IN Three Sons: Harvey Barnes, Fairmount, IN Dale (Tammy) Barnes, Rochester, IN Kenneth (Brandy) Barnes, Woodlawn, TN 3 Grandchildren; Zachery and Holden Barnes Ashlie Steffen Mother; Jean Burleson, Minerva, Ohio Foster children; Carol Kelley, Summitville, IN Bobby Smith, Hartford City, IN Brother: William Lee Sister; Dottie Bechtol, Minerva, OH Brother-in-law; Larry (Kathy Nottingham) Barnes, Jonesboro, IN Sister-in-law; Pat Barnes; Frankton, IN Peggy was preceded in death by her brother; Randy Burleson Father; William Burleson Grand-Father; Guy Hannen Grandparents; Harry & Prudy Simmons Mother and Father in law; Lawrence & Chelsa Mae Barnes Arrangements are being handled by Armes-Hunt Funeral Home, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, IN The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Liberty Friends Church Funeral service will be at Liberty Friends Church at 10:00 AM, Friday, February 12, 2010, Pastor Rob Clark officiating.
