Not sure what to say?

So sorry to hear about Peggy Swor Chandler. Miss Swor, as I knew her, was my French teacher at Fair Park High School. Influenced by her, I became a French teacher at Bossier School. I taught did for 30 years. My time in her class has always had a special place in my heart. I was even invited to lunch at her house. Definitely made me feel special. But all of her students were special to her. I’ve wanted to find her and let her know what she meant to me. I’m sorry I was never able to do that.

So sorry for your loss. She was my French teacher at Fair Park and she made her classes a lot of fun. I even got to attend her wedding and it was wonderful time for a high school girl.

Jim, Amy and Ashley,
Peggy was such a comfort to us when we lost Mickey, then Gay...this is just shocking news. Our families were strongly connected from the start. Mickey in your wedding...so many events y'all shared with and without the kids and grandkids. There are couples who are known by one name...MickeyAndGay......PeggyAndJim.....hundreds of stories beginning with those words. You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers...may your memories give you comfort. Much love,

I knew Peggy by both of her last names, since she married while I was in her French class. I also got to know her when I became an ROTC sponsor. We all thought she was beautiful. Inside and out. She was always kind; but had high expectations of her students. I’m praying for the Good Father to comfort her family, and all who loved her.

Je t'aime Madame Chandler. Had her as a student and a friend for three years at Fair Park ('66-'68). Lovely lady inside and out . My French name was Jean. If you had her you assumed a French name you maintained so long as you took French. Rest in Peace and may God bless your family and comfort them during this difficult time
