Peggy Dale

Mrs. Dale was my first grade teacher in 1996-1997. She was a constant in my otherwise unstable life and made me feel loved, safe and seen. She stayed in contact via post cards and phone until I finished fifth grade and left for middle school. I´ve never forgotten about her and she will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Peggy was my cohort in teaching classes for young children at the Zoo for years. We laughed and enjoyed our time together. I have missed her the past few years as she was a very special lady.

Peggy was a special friend and we shared many classes for children at the Zoo. In addition we were involved in many of the same activities at the Zoo.She was an inspiration. We had planned to go birding together but too late! She will be remembered fondly.

I’m so sorry that we have lost Peggy. We met at the zoo, and not only shared our love for animals, we also discovered that we were both native New Mexicans! I appreciated her dedication, support, and of course, annual gifting of Girl Scout cookies! My condolences to Karen, and the rest of the family.
