Peggy Goodwin Obituary
April 30, 1939 – October 22, 2025
Peggy Joan Goodwin, 86, of Sun City, Arizona, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025.
Born in Lewiston, Idaho, in 1939 to Oliver "Bud" and Nancy Calvin, Peggy grew up in Kalispell, Montana, and graduated from Flathead High School. She attended the University of Montana in Missoula, where she was a proud member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and the Jubileers singing group.
Peggy began her teaching career in business education at Bakersfield High School in California, where she met her future husband, Gregory Goodwin. They married in 1963 and raised two children, Katherine and Paul.
Throughout her long career, Peggy taught at South, West, and Centennial High Schools in Bakersfield, retiring in 2001. Beyond the classroom, she was active in the Junior League and enjoyed tennis at Stockdale Country Club. After retirement, she and Gregory lived in Bear Valley Springs near Tehachapi, California, later settling in Sun City, Arizona, in 2015, where she discovered a love of golf.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 62 years, Gregory; children Katherine (John) of London, England, and Paul (Sandra) of Seattle, Washington; grandchildren Hannah, Joseph, and Peter of London; and her sister, Gwen Letson (Al) of Hayden, Idaho.
No services are planned. Those wishing to honor Peggy's memory may contribute to a charity of their choice.

Mrs. Goodwin was my Business teacher at South High. She was a great teacher and taught me skills I´ve used all my life. She was always so professional and such a pretty lady.
