Not sure what to say?

I am a former student of Peggy's and I stumbled across this page as I was filling out school applications. I don't remember many professors by name but Peggy was so special to me that I remembered her even after 10+ years since I've graduated. Let me first say that I am saddened to see this news. My condolences to the Hesketh family. I had the absolute pleasure of being Peggy's student at UC Irvine during my freshman year for a writing class. I was an average writer coming out of high school,...

I am sorry to hear that Peggy passed away. Sadly I didn't know about this until searching online for any new books she may have written. One of my favorite books is, Telling the Bees.

I know that it won't make everything okay for your family and I am a total stranger but I wanted to give you my condolences. Her obituary gave so many touching and revealing details of who she was. I am sad that I was never able to tell her thank you for her wonderful book or got to meet her.
Hugs to...

I just read Ms. Hesketh's novel and, in looking for means to tell her how much I enjoyed it, found her obituary. I hope it means something to her family to know how much at least one reader enjoyed it.

surf sessions. Las Barcas tacos and beers. thai lunches to talk writing. shooting pool. ping pong at your house. I'm damn sure you let me win.

Do you remember StarWars? Thank again.

So many fond memories I have of you from my childhood. Our fathers were twins with a special bond that resonated with us cousins. You always made me feel special even though I was the youngest tag along cousin. I am so glad we were able to reconnect this summer and share so many good times and create new ones. You will forever hold a special place in my heart.
To John, Christen, and Sean, you are in my thoughts and prayers at this time.
Love,
Raeanna (Pivirotto) Summers
