My childhood memory of this dear lady came to mind today, only to find out she passed away eight years ago. I am 57 and remember Peggy as a wonderful lady/inspiration both on and off TV (we lived in the same subdivision in the late sixties/early seventies- Melody Hills/Evansville). She was a great neighbor who was always kind to those around her. God Bless you Peggy!

I am 42, formely of Evansville and I fondly remember Peggy Mitchell and was saddened about the news of her passing. Her life embodied the Beatitudes and she is clearly responsible for the development of many a conscience of Tri-Staters over 30. Truly our lives were enhanced by her presence and heaven will be a more beautiful place because of her arrival!

Wow, a Legacy is really gone in Evansville. I started each day off watching her show before going to school. She gave a lot to our community...including giving us Gumby & Pokie and Looney Tunes every morning. It was so exciting when a class mate was on her show. She will be missed!!!! ...and yes I still remember the theme song too!

My son won a birthday cake, and from then on he was in love with Peggy Mitchell! Her autograph is a part of his baby album. Peggy's show was a good influence on children. May God comfort the family and may good memories remain in your hearts.

2 Timothy 4:7 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." Peggy proclaimed God's salvation through Christ until the end. She loved her Savior and adored her 3 children. Thanks for allowing me the privilege of serving her.

I fondly remember spending every school morning watching the Peggy Mitchell Show. One year, when I was in the first grade, when the Bedknobs and Broomsticks show came to Evansville, she was giving away tickets, and I won one of them because she drew my handwritten entry. What a positive and moral influence she gave.

I grew up with Peggy and have great memories of her. Peggy Mitchell left such an impression on me that when I happened to meet her one day at a gas station, I had to get her autograph, I was 27 at the time! Thank you for the memories Peggy, the world is less without you.
