Peggy O'Neill

Peggy Loreen O'Neill, the daughter of John William and Loreen Sabrina (Carlson) Roland, was born on September 13, 1942, at Creston, Iowa. Peggy entered eternal rest on November 22, 2008, at Greater Regional Hospice Home, at Creston, Iowa, at the age of sixty-six years, two months, and twelve days. Peggy lived in Creston most of her life. She also lived in Millard, NE, near Omaha for about three years. She graduated from Creston High School with the Class of 1960. Peggy married Dale Curtiss O'Neill on January 15, 1966 at the Episcopal Church in Creston, Iowa. Dale passed away on July 30, 1989. Peggy worked at Wellman Dynamics for a few years and worked in housekeeping and laundry at Crest Haven Care Centre for ten years. Peggy was a current member of the First Christian Church and a former member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Left to cherish Peggy's memory are her daughters: Kathleen O'Neill (Special Friend, Sean Lucero), Valley Village, CA; and Colleen O'Neill (Special Friend, Pete Custer), Creston; Six Grandchildren: Robert, Matthew, and Ashley O'Neill; and Curtiss, Christopher, and Clinton Bird; her brothers: Ralph (Carolee) Roland, San Jose, CA; and Bob (Libby) Roland, Creston; her sisters: Bonnie (Bill) Cornick, Creston; Anne (Johny) Stephens, Afton; and Beth (Dennis) Christensen, Creston; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceding Peggy in death were her parents; husband, Dale in 1989; and her Step-father, Bob Roland, in 1964.
