Peggy Joy Pilas Wood

What a gift to be reminded of Peggy´s legacy of love. I am mediately thought of the last time I saw her when prompted to share a memory. It was the night of Vose´s 70th birthday party at the Field Club-the night before Florida shut down due to the virus. Everyone knew it was coming. Everyone knew it was the last large gathering any of us would have for some time. It was a night everyone will remember. I remember being so impressed that Peggy showed up if only for a short time. I met Peggy Jo while we were both still in high school. She was in Sarasota and I was in Tampa. She was very beautiful, smart, kind and liked by everyone especially me. I loved being with her and wished it could have been permanent. I will always remember Peggy Jo, an exceptional person.

I have that photo by my front door and I see it coming and going. I speak to you and always remember your light ; a light of joy. You were aptly named. Love
