Athens With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our dear mother, Pamela (Penny) Jean Bartlett, a beloved nurse, cherished friend and sister, devoted mother and wife, and dedicated grandmother. She peacefully departed from this world on Friday, January 19, 2024.
She was born on October 23, 1949. Penny inspired the lives of all fortunate enough to know her. She displayed an exceptional level of commitment to her nursing profession. Her gentle nature and genuine concern for her patients earned her the gratitude and respect of colleagues and those under her care.
Her love for her family knew no bounds, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She created a nurturing and loving home filled with laughter, warmth, and lifelong memories. Her home was always open and a place where countless young and old friends would gather. She cared for others selflessly. Penny will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her, sister Joyce McClellan (Edward) Dum; a sister-in law, Pat McClellan; loving children, Paul Allen (Cindy) Bartlett Jr, Christopher Morris Bartlett, Anthony Edward Bartlett, and Andy Parsons; her adoring grandchildren, Keisha (Jeff) Murray, Amanda (Cody)Fulwider, Megan King, Christopher Bartlett, Haley Bartlett, Collin Bartlett, Emma Licka, Tyler Bartlett, Sierra Parsons, Andrea Parsons, Kylie Parsons; eight great-grandchildren; special friends, Rich and Wanda Martin; and many extended family members. She will be dearly missed by her friends and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Bartlett; parents Samuel and Gladys McClellan; a brother, Terry McClellan; and a sister Sharon Porter.
Funeral service will be conducted Friday, Jan. 26th at 1:00 p.m. at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens with Rev. John Butcher officiating. Friends may call Friday 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Following the burial, family and friends are welcome to gather at the Bartlett residence.
