Ms. Penny L. Bennor

Penny L. Bennor, 44, of Fort Covington St., Malone died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012 at Alice Hyde Medical Center, Malone, NY. Born in Malone, NY on March 18, 1968, she was the daughter of Stewart and Melvina (Shatlaw) Bennor. Penny graduated from Salmon River Central School. She was employed as a cashier for North Star Industries. She loved playing bingo. Penny was a very social person who was always smiling and happy. Penny is survived by four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Valerie and Reginald Lester of Constable, Ann and Tommy Jock of Fort Covington, Sherry and Ronald Oesterling of Brushton, Candy Conto of Malone; a brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Bonnie Bennor of Brushton; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, and three siblings, Peter, Leo and Tina Bennor. Calling hours will be held at the Chateaugay Funeral Home on Saturday, Aug. 25 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, Fort Covington at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Special Olympics.
