Some of my fondest memories of my childhood in Diboll include spending time at the Cecil home and at church together. Please accept my deepest condolences upon the loss of such a precious mother, wife, teacher and friend to my own mother. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.

I had the pleasure of teaching with Penny for many years and admired her in her teaching abilities. We became friends and I got to know her even better. She was quiet about her abilities, including a unpretentiousness of her high intelligence. She was an eloquent speaker, and could do this unrehearsed. She accepted the change from teaching preschool and special education to teaching kindergarten. I was able to see her as she excelled at teaching and nurturing the fortunate children in both...

We are so sorry for your loss and are praying for the whole family. We are also incredibly grateful for the many ways Penny blessed the lives of our entire family. (preschool, Emmaus, Bible studies, etc.)

Penny was such and amazing mom, wife and teacher and she will truly be missed by many. We miss you guys and think of you often...my prayers go out to all of you for strength and peace.

I just heard about Penny. I'm so sorry for your loss. God be with you and your children during this time. I'll always remember how kind you and Penny were to me as I stopped in Nacogdoches on my way to and from Michigan.
