Read MoreI just learned last night of Penny's passing. She was a good friend; many an afternoon spent sitting in my SF back yard, talking about everything under the sun. I helped her to adopt her first bull terrier, Brownie. And then, just 5 short years ago, she got her first puppy, Belle. Belle now needs a home. Condolences to family and friends who are missing Penny.

Penny was my nursing school study mate during the late 1970's at Phoenix College. We both worked nights at Phoenix Baptist Hospital during nursing school. Penny moved on to California and more than 30 years later, still have fond memories of the day we both received our original RN license from the AZ State Board of Nursing. I am saddened to hear of her illnesses and passing.
