She later moved behind the camera to become an acclaimed director, helming the hit movies "Big," "Awakenings," and "A League of Their Own." She died Monday, December 17, 2018, at the age of 75. Miss Marshall and her friend Miss Williams bring this old soldier such happiness. I to this day, watch "Lavern and Shirley " daily to give me peace in my heart. Thank you both for such warm memories. May GOD bless you in Heaven and your families. Thank you so very much for such happiness and peace.
