Mr. Percy Gilmore, III, 68, of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023 in Houston, Texas.
The Celebration Services for Mr. Gilmore will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Borden Chapel Baptist Church (3495 Roland Road - Beaumont, Texas 77708) with burial Service to follow at Anthony Cemetery in Beaumont, Texas under the directions of Mercy Funeral Home. Public viewing will be held for Mr. Gilmore on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 p.m. at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel and on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon at the church. For your safety the practice of Social Distancing and Facial Masks required.

Percy Gilmore, III was born June 11, 1955 in Beaumont, Texas to the union of Percy Jr. and Ida Lee Gilmore. Percy was a lifelong member of Douglas Memorial CME Church were he was ordained as a Christian Steward by the late Reverend David Robinson, Sr. Percy drove the van transporting members to a from services and also assisted Saint’s Temple Church of God in Christ in Voth, Texas. He was educated at Charlton-Pollard High School where he graduated in 1973. Percy met the love of his life Marie Gilmore in 1976 the two were united in Holy matrimony on July 22, 1977. Together they shared forty-six years of marriage and were blessed with two wonderful children Sharonda and Jody.
Percy was preceded in death by his mother, Ida Lee Gilmore; brothers. Robert Gilmore and Timothy Lee Gilmore. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Marie Gilmore, his children Sharonda Mouton (Greg) and Jody Gilmore (Naomie); grandchildren, Jalen Malvo, Kyra Malvo, Caden Mouton, Kayla Mouton, Ashton Gilmore, Braylon Gilmore, and Bryce Gilmore; father, Percy Gilmore, Jr.; mother-in-love, Hilda Whittington; siblings, Beverly Darden (Houston), Cherry Williams (Artis), Linda Pete Gilmore, Brenda Johnson, George Gilmore, Milton Gilmore and Latricia Gilmore; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
