Percy Storey is a kind man that I'll never forget! I was 17 years old in 1998 and had my first job at Carraway hospital. Mr. Storey took me under his wing. He was so protective of me and patient with teaching me how to properly care for people. I truly appreciated him. I'm now 42 yrs old and got to thinking about him. I lost touch with him through the years but his genuine kindness for everyone still touches my heart. I was young and scared in a huge hospital and he really eased my fears....

Percy, I think about you so much. 1 years ago on August 20, 2020 is a day I won't forget. You slipped away from us, without saying goodbye. Not only were we Co-Workers at Carraway, but best friends, but more like my big brother. Fussing with you, eating lunch everyday and just talking about life I truly miss. With tears flowing as I write, I can't say enough about such a wonderful person as you. Thanks for sharing your humble genuine spirit with me and so many others. I miss you so much Percy...

Happy Birthday Percy! You are truly loved and missed so dearly. It's still hard to believe you are gone. I take comfort in my heart knowing you are resting in the arms of Jesus and we all will see you again. Keep smiling and keep that humble spirit.

To family of Percy Story I just learn of Percy passing. He truly was a friend. My condolences to each family member. I feel your loss. I worked with Percy at Carraway Hospital and UAB for many years. Percy was truly a man with a genuine heart of love to everyone he worked with. He will be miss and I pray during this difficult time of loss to for all his family. Sad time but God is good.
I thank God for his friendship.

He was a good husband, neighbor and family man. I will miss running into him at the grocery store. He always smiled and his wife was truly blessed to have a best friend and provider.
