I was very saddened to learn of the passing of my classmate, Pernell Newby. Pernell and I were classmates from 1957 - 1962. This year we are celebrating our 60th anniversary since graduating from L P Jackson High School in Dendron, Virginia. Pernell's cheerful manner brought many smiles to our faces during our high school years. My condolence to the Newby Family. My heart was so sad when I heard about the passing of my good friend . I will miss you your smile when we will meet, always jolly, and had something funny to say. You never met a stranger. You fought a good fight rest now in the loving arms of God.
