Not sure what to say?

You don´t know me, but I met Perry the morning of September 23rd on Reeds Lake Blvd. I have thought about him every day since and I didn´t even know his name until a recent run around Reeds Lake past the point of our first & only meeting and saw the #PERRYSTRONG signs. I just wanted to say how very sorry I am for your loss and the loss to our local community. Perry seemed like an incredible man, husband, and father. I will never forget him or what he taught me that day about being brave,...

Oh Karen, I am so very sorry. Perry was one in a million. I loved his kindness, humor, generosity and everything about him. I am truly heartbroken for all of you. Hugs, thoughts and prayers being sent for all of you.

Our deepest sympathies for the loss of your loved one, we worked with Perry at WWW while he was there. He was a good man and will be missed by many, his "quirky sense of humor" and his smile were reminders of the Perry we knew. We were saddened to hear of his passing. May the wonderful memories of him give you strength in the days ahead.

Karen, Michelle and Dustin. You all have been on our minds and in our hearts. I am so sorry to hear about Perry and his passing. Knowing the person he was I am sure he fought the most courageous fight he could with everything he had and more. He always had the greatest outlook no matter what the ending outcome. His strong faith and amazing personality was a strong Abbs trait. May God bless you all and we wish you all the best. We love you all and family is forever.

Karen, Michelle and Dustin, I´m so sorry to hear of Perry´s passing it is no suprise to me that there are so many messages on this page. He was just a stand up man. I have only gotten to know him over the past couple of years and how you explained him above fits perfectly according to me. He made me feel incredibly special he found so much value in me and helped me believe stronger in myself than I think I even knew possible! He beamed with pride when talking about his family and his smile...

I am so sorry for your loss...all of our losses really. Perry was a good friend. A man of integrity and determination, he was a constant reminder that you could be better and do better. He had great faith in his fellow man to do what was right, not necessarily what was easy and was a great example of that faith. I truly enjoyed working with him and I truly miss his presence. He was definitely one of a kind.

I'm sorry for the loss to his family and friends, as well as coworkers. I worked with Perry and had chances to visit with him after hours or on Saturdays since he was often one of the last people in the office at the times I was in Grand Rapids. I agree he was always driven by his moral compass, as he just wanted everyone to do the right thing. He will be missed, and i am sorry i did not visit with him during his illness. It sounds as though his spirit will be living on in his family...

I am so sorry for your loss! Perry was an amazing person and I will always remember him with a smile on his face. I have known Perry for over 24 years. He started as a boss, then a mentor, then a friend and eventually just felt like family. Karen, I have enjoyed getting to know you over the years and even though I have never met Michelle or Dustin in person, I feel like I know them from Perry and I sharing stories about our kids. I can tell you for sure the three of you were his world! Perry...
