Not sure what to say?

Sue, I'm writing this on March 1st. Did not know of Perry's death until I just read emails and had one from Vaughn Early Hartsell. Jim and I are so sorry to hear of your loss. I have so many fond memories of the Biddle family, as I knew Perry, Stella, and their parents when I worked at 1st Pres., Sumter, SC before coming to Richmond. Do know that all of you are in my prayers. Give my love to Stella as well.
Love and prayers to all of you,
Ruth Lever Sample

Condolence to the Biddle families--from a 1954 college classmate. Perry represented us as a staunch civil rights advocate--and voluminous writer. His legacy endures among 150+ living "brothers", of the 240+ entering freshmen. Perry's dry wit kept the day fresh, and perhaps Presbyterians on their good behavior. Peace.

Perry was one of my most interesting and supportive friends when I served as editor of The Presbyterian Outlook and sincerely regret his loss and his lengthy terminal illness. So I send my sympathies to Sue, children, and Perry's wonderful family. We appreciate his many contributions to the church! Robert Bullock

I have missed our rides home from Freolac meetings. We had many talks about the church and his travels. Please accept my sincere sympathy in your loss.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Love to you and your family at this time. Our thoughts are with you always,

Hylton, Carol, & Tyler

Mary Sue and family, Bob and I were so sorry to hear about Perry's death. We are sorry that we cannot attend the service but please know that our hearts and prayers are with all of you. May God bless all of you.

Love, Carobeth and Bob

I only have wonderful memories of Perry and Sue. They were my sponsors when I joined 2nd Pres and I've been crazy about them from the day met them. I will miss seeing him at church and my normal kiss-on-the-cheek. He was a blessing to all who knew him and my love and best wishes go out to his entire family. Perry would want us to celebrate his life and that's exactly what I'm doing. What a joy he was!

He was a brother and an elder in the living faith of Jesus. I always enjoyed his attention and encouragement as I was becoming a pastor and in our life at Second Presbyterian. Always quick with a joke and the word of grace, I will miss his presence and his laugh.
Peace be with Sue and family. He is risen, Drew Henderson
