I first met Perry at a Trustee meeting in 2000 where I was the first Business School dean ever asked to make a presentation about the School to the full Board. I learned afterward that Perry and Mort Sigel, another Trustee, were the ones pushing the President to invite me. The business programs were attracting an increasing number of students at that point and Perry wanted all the Trustees to learn more about them. Mr. Pero was loved and cherished by his family and friends, which makes words seem small and at times hardly matter. We are truly sorry for this great loss. May God bless and hold each of you in this time of need.

I served on the Clark University Board of Trustees with Perry, and found him one of the nicest, most respectful and thoughtful people I have ever met. It was a delight to work with him. May his name and memory be a blessing.
