Dear Betsy, I just learned of Dr. A's passing and I am so sorry for your loss. I will love and treasure my time spent with your amazing Dad! He taught me about Fuji apple's, cakes from LaBaguette and the finer things in life every day over lunch at OMRF. He was truly a wonderful man and will be missed....Donna Howell

Dear Betsy and family, I met Pierre as a student and also collaborated with him. He was a very hard working individual who enjoyed his research very much. He contributed significantly to our understanding of the role of proteins in lipid transport. He was also a great mentor and he had a great interest in opera which he shared with his friends and colleagues. We shall miss him.

Dearest Betsy and family, my life was Blessed when I met Dr. Alaupovic. His passion to understand and for US to understand the role of the Lipoproteins, impacted me in the most tremendous way. I found myself quoting Dr. A in meetings and discussions with other colleagues, urging them to read his papers to better understand his life's works and the impact that his research has and will have on us all. He was a kind, patient, teacher. A Gentleman's GENTLEman. His research marks his place in history. His kindness marks his place in the hearts of many. He is now at peace. He will be missed.
