-Fred Atwood “Pete” McDaniel, Jr. age 80, a resident of Summit Place, Kings Mountain, NC died Saturday, March 20, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Cleveland County, son of the late Fred Atwood McDaniel, Sr. and Ruth Houser McDaniel and was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Poole McDaniel. A member of First Presbyterian Church, Kings Mountain, a Mason and a member of Fairview Masonic Lodge, Kings Mountain, NC. He retired as Vice-President of Carcon, Inc., Charlotte, NC.

Cheryl, Christie, Myra, and Sheryl, please know that I am thinking of you and send my heartfelt sympathy in your loss. I considered Peggy and Pete my dearest friends and have missed them these past years. I have tried to stay in touch with Pete as this was Peggy's request of me. They are now sharing a heavenly home. May they rest in peace.
