Not sure what to say?

This is the 10th anniversary of Peter's death. He was a wonderful person and a great priest. I looked upon him as my brother, I love him dearly, and I do know where he presently is. I pray to him and I look forward to meeting him again in heaven. Peter, please help me to join you again in the future. Live Jesus in our hearts. Forever.

Father Armstrong was a huge part of my life. He named me, baptized me, married me and counseled me. He traveled to Germany with our family in 1966 and I remember him celebrating mass in our local church. He was quite the hit!! As an adult, we enjoyed many wonderful dinners together both at our home in Napa Valley as well as at his favorite restaurant in Kenwood. I will miss him and his wonderful laugh so much.

My fond memory of Monsignor is playing music in the basement of our family home on 23rd Avenue, San Francisco and our summer home in the Russian River...my sister Cathy Scollin was part of the Search program. He truly made a difference in the lives of many people. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Mons was such a wonderful man, pastor and friend. He made us all learn and laugh, teaching us such valuable lessons along the way. I treasure the memories watching him enjoy the company of my father, grandfather and godfather after many a Christmas dinner, and I will forever miss Grace on the beach, holding the hands of friends old and new. Monsignor, thank you for sharing yourself with so many of us and for being such an important part of our lives for so long.

Monsignor - Thank you for all that you did. You were never too busy to listen or give guidance or help.

Bless you.

To an old family friend and mentor,

I am thankful for all the times you have spent with us, in marrying my father and mother, in being a Literal father to my dad during his tumultous childhood, for the good times at CYO camp and for performing the marriage sacrament for me as well. May God bless you and know that we are all better for you having touched our lives

To the Family and many Friends of Monsignor Armstrong:

Know of my sympathy and prayers that accompany each of you in this time of loss of such a fine priest!

And is it not interesting that Monsignor's life and memory will be commemorated during this time between our celebrations of 'Christ the King' and our own celebrations of the Thanksgiving holiday. We do have so much to be grateful to Christ for, especially through this wonderfully generous and inspirational...

I offer my prayers to the Armstrong family at the passing of a very good priest. I will always be grateful for the brief span of time I served as organist at St. Pius while Monsignor Armstrong was pastor. He was a great source of encouragement to me in my early days as a church musician and my work with him at St. Pius had a very profound influence on my ministry as a liturgist and director of music over the years. Monsignor Peter, you will be missed. May the angels lead you into...
