Not sure what to say?

Peter Arvedson was our rector in Okinawa, and our son Christopher was baptized by him in 1976 at All Souls. My husband and I, and our daughter Kerrylea, were confirmed by the first Okinawan Anglican bishop, Paul Saneaki Nakamura after instruction by Peter. He was a marvelous teacher! Our family will always remember the Arvedsons, and our kids played with the boys, Stephen and Mark. Just a most wonderful family!

Dear Joan and family. My heart was heavy
to read this news. Having known Peter and remembering his faiath we know he is
with the Father. My love to you Katina

Mrs. Arvedson, I was very sad to hear of Fr. Peter's passing. I was blessed to have known him for a short time when I worked as the Nursery Supervisor at the Buffalo church. I have never forgotten him and he has often been in my thoughts. I always appreciated his positive, uplifting spirit. You and your family are in my prayers. God Bless!

Joan, so incredibly sad to hear of Peter's passing. We were so blessed to have known him. He has often been in my thoughts. God bless you and your family, Joan.

For a number of years while he was in Buffalo, Peter and I shared a weekly meal with some other clergy- what a wise, faithful, and good-humored friend! I shall miss him! You and the kids are in my prayers, Joan.

Dear Joan and family,

I have many fond memories of Fr. Peter as he was the first priest I worked for at Grace Episcopal, Lockport NY, interim at the time when I was hired (Jan 1 1989) as their parish secretary. He taught this Lutheran many things about the Episcopal Church and was always encouraging and patient with me in "learning the ropes" of being a parish secretary; and to this day I still am Grace Church's parish administrative secretary. My sincere condolences to you and...

I was sad to hear that Peter has passed away. I fondly remember our conversation at Pabst Mansion last November.

Peter will continue to influence my life. His role as priest and mentor to my formation as a Deacon will never be forgotten. Lifting you in prayer in your bereavement.
