Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

George and Arthur-I am so sad to hear of Petes passing. I was pleased to meet Pete over 40 years ago when I used to come to Recreational Billiards (We all called it Pete's Place) to place arcade games. I remained friends with Pete all those years. He watched me grow into a man. He saw me as a high school student, as a collage student, as a soldier and as a grown businessman. Through all those years, Pete remained the same, soft spoken man that we all grew to love. I loved talking with him...

George and Arthur,

Sorry to hear about Pete's passing. He was a special person and a true patriot. I stopped by one time a few years ago after I retired from the Police Department in 1997. An evening shift wasn't complete until I would go in his business and set for a few minutes, usually near the end of my shift. He was a pleasure to be around.

Pete was an amazing man and a true representative of Winston-Salem hospitality. I always enjoyed talking to him each and every time I walked into Recreation Billiards. Most people his age (and many years younger) were in bed while he was still socializing with customers and still working. His legacy as a war hero and an entrepreneur can give inspiration to many who hope for the American dream. I will truly miss him, as will several of my friends from various places out of town who only knew...
