Not sure what to say?

Dear Susan and Peter,
When I remember Goochland I always think about your family. Peter had the opportunity to experience one of God's most beautiful landscapes and be apart of a loving family. I do not understand tragedy, but what I have come to learn is that it pulls us together. Peter's memory will grow stronger and more meaningful every day.
All my love - Linda Rider Arnold

Dear Bance Family,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Peter. Although I did not know Peter very well, hearing my sister Megan talk about him made me realize how loved he was and still is by everyone. Through the stories that Peter and Megan told me, it is so easy to see that he had a wonderful life, which he lived to the fullest. Always remember that Peter is with you all always. My prayers are with your whole family.

Dear Bance's
I am so sorry about Peter. I have so many good memeories of Peter at the summer camps and when he would come to visit Liza and Lousie while they were babysitting me. I know he had a wonderful life and that he is in a great place now without pain. Hope everyone is feeling better.
Love, Juliana

Peter,
I was so sorry to hear of this tragic accident. Although I didn't know Peter, having known you and Teddy growing up, I know that he was a very special young man who will be missed by all who knew him and those that he would have met. My prayers are with all of you at this sad time.

Dear Bance Family,

I am so sorry to hear of your son's death. I lost my 21 year old son in November of 1999. Only a parent who has lost a child knows your pain. Emily Dickerson said it perfectly when she said, "When you lose your parents you lose your past. When you lose your spouse you lose your present, but when you lose a child, you lose your future.

You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Peter was a great friend of mine and of the whole Hampden-Sydney College community. I know that though he is in a better place now, his loss will be forever remembered by those who loved and cared about him. My deepest sympathies go out to his family, for you have a lost a great son and great person. I know that God will take care of him.

My very deepest sympathy and prayers to you on this most difficult time.

Peter, Susan and family - My deepest thoughts and prayers are with you during these sad times.

Dear Friends,
I was so saddened to hear of your son's death. I work part time in the catering division of the food service at Hampden Sydney.
All of the Hampden Sydney men are so special to us and we will truly miss you son.
My son Travis Irvin, Class 2005 knew Peter and is very upset about the tragedy.
God bless each and every one of you and know that all of us love you.
