Peter William "Piet" Bardoul

dear 'uncle' Piet, I am saddened to hear this evening of your passing. As my father was the other Piet Bardoul, you will always have a special place in our heart. I. will never forget when you brought WWII veterans to Simpelveld in 1985 and we had a party in 'hotel cafe Oud Zumpelveld'. These veterans had liberated Simpelveld and Bocholtz. Dear Suzanne and family. We were very sad to hear the news about Piet's passing. Sorry we were not able to come in person to give you our heartfelt condolences on March the 6 th. We have great memories of Piet especially when he played st Nicolaas, our children will never forget this. I think it was in the Mariotte Hotel with the horse at one time! I was lucky enough to get to spend a week with Opa and Oma at the beach with Raymond, Monie, Olivia and Allie and it was one of my favorite of the many beach trips we went on. Seeing as their family has adopted me as another daughter, it was no surprise when opa welcomed me as an adopted granddaughter. This of course meant enduring many jokes, Dutch nicknames and belly laughter. I´m thankful for the children that Opa raised to then raise my best friends and my second parents. Love you Opa!...

I am so sorry for your tremendous loss! What a distinquished military career. You should all be so proud of his service to country. Mr. Bardoul was always so kind to all of the Tucker gang even when we took over his house and pool! He would greet us all with his big smile. Ome Piet truly was family. I loved getting to see him at the many Holland events in the 80´s-90´s. Showbiz! That was our thing, every birthday card started that way. My fondest memory is when he received the Half Moon award. I felt so proud of him, on many levels, that he so deservingly received this award. Great man. Will always be missed
