I was in Low Country Pipes and Cigars the other day and asked Ron about Peter, for I had not seen him in awhile. I was heartbroken to learn of his passing. His Dad had stopped in recently, which was difficult and told the staff, thank you for doing that, it must have been difficult. Dear Fran, Nick and Claire

You have lost a wonderful son and brother and we are so very sorry.

Michael and I have lost a nephew but more than that - a friend, to spend time with or to share a joke, a chat, a beer or a starbucks!!

Peter touched our hearts always with his smile, his wit but most of all with his courage - he had coped with the hand that life had dealt him in a way that so many would or could not have done.

Dear Bolton Family, I was Peter's 7th grade English teacher in Fairport, New York. I remember him well - a smile, incredible courage, and a delightful sense of humor. You have my deep sympathy - I am so sorry you lost Peter. To quote an author I loved to introduce to my students, Antoine de St. Exupery: "He is in the stars. For you, it will be as if all of the stars are laughing." I am wishing you comfort and peace.

It is impossible to convey adequately our feelings at this sad time but, our thoughts are with you at every step.
It is a great privilege to have known Peter - a truly unforgettable character. He overcame overwhelming adversity to succeed, with excellence, academically. He made the most of every opportunity presented to him and made friends and acquaintances

Today is a very sad day. If ever I met and had the privilege of being a friend of an open, honest, down to earth, intelligent, animated conversationalist, who was seldom compromising of his beliefs, it was Peter Crawford Bolton.
Peter stood up admirably to the challenges life had dealt him. And that is what I will always miss about him and will always remember him for. He never complained.
