Not sure what to say?

I am thinking of the Bowles family today. I am so glad I was able to attend the memorial service last year for Mr. Bowles. It is wonderful being connected to his family and I hope to see them soon. Peter Bowles, may he rest in peace and be looking down on his family with great pride.

Dear Felicity, I had the pleasure to work with you at United and get to know Peter. I must say, he made the best gin and tonics I have ever had. My thoughts will be with you. Wish I could have made it to Charlottesville on the 30th but Irma returns to Jo'burg the same day. Hope to see you soon. Len and I are very sorry for your loss. Love, Charli

May memories of the days gone by stay forever in your hearts. Lovely eulogy . Peace to your family

Our sincerest sympathies on the passing of Peter from Rhodesians Worldwide magazine. Each passing of an older Rhodesian/Zimbabwean marks the slow passing of our history. May his African spirit now fly free and may his family's memories be strong. Mofamba zvakanaka changamire.

Dear Felicity, We send condolences to you and your lovely family. Sadly we will not be able to attend the funeral as we are in England. With love Hilary and John

Personally I have been very privileged to have shared some 60 years friendship with Peter covering the early years in Rhodesia where marriage, building a successful farming career and helping raise a wonderful family kept Peter busy and happy. Unfortunately this period came to an abrupt ending when farmers became the front line of hostilities that beset the country and it...
