I was proud to call Pete my friend. We were shocked to hear of his untimely death. Our condolences to his wife and family.

I was so deeply sorry to hear the news about Pete. We were good friends in High School but we lost touch over the years. After he was accepted to the Naval Academy, he inspired me to keep pursuing the Coast Guard Academy and I eventually graduated two years after he did. Thanks, Pete. I'll be keeping you in my prayers. Rest in Peace, buddy!

My husband and I were priveleged to meet Peter when he and Chelle hosted a luncheon for her mother. e offer the family our full condolences.

I served with Pete in the Engineering Department in USS JOHN RODGERS in 1991. He gave all he had in that job and taught me a lot along the way. Pete was one-of-a-kind! We will keep your family in our prayers.

My sincerest condolences to the Callaghan family during this most difficult time. He was an outstanding sailor and a great XO and leader for the Naval Detachment at Ft Leavenworth.
