I first met Peter when he hired me as Chief Counsel in Baltimore. I worked for him for over seven years and found him to be the most significant mentor in my working life. While he was not a micro-manager, he was always available to discuss matters regarding my office. Most importantly he instructed me about what was important to fight for and what was not.
