PETER EDWARD CATALDO 52, of Rumford, passed away November 27, 2016. He was the husband of Maria (DaSilva) Cataldo. Born in Providence, a son of Edward J Cataldo and Camille (DeRita) Cataldo. Peter was a Software Engineer for Cisco Systems in Boxboro, MA. He was the father of Peter E. Cataldo Jr. Step-father of Ricardo DaSilva and his wife Jill. Brother of Camille Cataldo and her partner Stephen Connell and Michelle Birman and her husband Steven. Uncle of Erica Knarr and her husband Spencer and Caleb Birman. Step grandfather of Eleanor DaSilva. Peter's interests included golf, cooking, kayaking, cars, traveling and tending to his various collections. He loved his dog Teddy and all things Sci-fi especially Star Wars. He was passionate about his work but above all else, he was devoted to his family and loved being with them. His funeral is Saturday at 8:30 a.m. from ''WOODLAWN'' Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret's Church, Rumford. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery. VISITATION FRIDAY 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to JDRF New England 60 Walnut St. Wellesley, Ma. 02481. Pete today is the date of the worse day of my life to this point! Miss you so much, and hope you know that we all miss you.
