Missed him by a year. I've thought of Mr. Coles frequently over the years. He helped shape who I am as an adult by always being there to talk whenever I needed him during my Herndon High years. I actually loved that man. He was such a good person and he loved us right back. I'll always regret not finding him sooner than now.

As is the case with most teen aged males, I was headed down the path that ultimately leads to self destruction. Were it not for the wisdom, patience and sheer will of my Uncle Peter, I dare say I would not be here this very day. RESPECT and HONOR.

In the 1980's I worked with the U.S. General Services Administration in Washington DC and Peter was with the Federal Protective Service there. RIP Peter. Thank you for being my friend and mentor. Working for you was the highlight of my government career. I will always remember your kindness.

Rest In Peace partner I'll never forget you. You were my special friend dating back to third grade. Will always remember us singing together at Bethel AME church and later in Alexandria va. Going to so many sporting events you will always be Pete to me I'll never forget you

I got to know Peter when I taught at Herndon HS. He would come into my classes and present life lessons to my students. He was a wonderful man who had a great impact on people. I am sorry to hear of his passing.
