Not sure what to say?

I knew Pete thru his interest in Asia, with both of us from the Rio Grande Valley and thru activities involving President George H.W. Bush. He was always the gentleman and very effective in every thing he did; Pete will be greatly missed by all who knew him

Pete was one of those guys you always remember for his upbeat hope and mannerisms. We shared the great experience of being in the Texas Cowboys at UT. Nancy and I were often with Pete and Lynn during those great years. In talking about were we were going to go after school, Pete was to his MBA and the same for me. He chose Goldman and I chose Consulting. Every time I saw Pete we would have lively discussion on what we were doing and how much we enjoyed our work. We will miss you Pete...

My deepest condolences to all of you. I’d really like to connect with y’all when things settle. Sally Durham, my youngest sister, and Pete’s youngest cousin also recently passed. Please do contact me when you’re up to it. Much love to all. Julie Durham

My brother Forrest Garling was one grade above Pete, and I, Sherry Garling Smith, was one year below Pete. Everyone loved Pete. Always smiling, greeting everyone, and so very kind and unselfish. One can never forget Pete. As witnessed by all who knew him all over the world, he was so dear to all. God Bless you, Pete, and your lovely family.
