Not sure what to say?

I had the great honor or working with Pete at Little Canada School. He was the BEST! Gracious and kind to students and staff. I remember sharing his wife's iced tea with me one hot summer day. He always had a smile: Students loved him!

Pete Costa was my colleague and friend while at Capitol View School. He always wanted to know how I was doing.

Kids loved him. He was never too busy ... to show interest or offer encouragement to students or this teacher.

Pete Costa was a terrific guy who made a difference in the lives of all that he worked with.

Joel Johnson, Music Department Chair

My sympathies to the Costa family. I remember Mr. Costa from when I attended Little Canada Elementary. He treated the school like it was his home and the students as if they were his kids.

Rachel and I have such wonderful memories of walking down Vanderbie Street to your house and visiting you both! You would always have a treat in hand for us! You were always such a sweet man! It was such a highlight seeing you at school as well! Our most favorite custodian and neighbor. You'll be missed! Shirley and family, you're in our thoughts and prayers!

Pete was one of the kindest and generous neighbors you would ever want. His greatest passions was his garden. He loved being out in his garden tending to his crop which he always shared with many of us.

I had the pleasure of working with Pete at Little Canada School. Yes, he was a very hard worker and would do anything you asked him to do but what I remember most is his love the students. He was great at teasing them and making them laugh. When he walked into the cafeteria the kids...

Dear Greg, Judy and kids. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. The times we had with Pete and Shirley were the best and will always be in our hearts.

Without a doubt, there is a special place in heaven for Pete Costa. A very kind and generous man with a work ethic like no other. I had the privilege of working at LC with Pete. He treated school like his home, taking care of everyone and everything in it. When he fixed things he did it right the first time - like new! Since Pete retired, I've tried to hand-deliver my Christmas card to them so we could visit. I never left without pasta, meatballs or a cookie. One year they saw my boys...

To the best neighbors that we could ever ask for. We will miss Pete's optimistic nature and easy going nature. God Bless.

Aunt Shirley, Steve, Ken and Greg. I am so sorry for your loss. Uncle Pete is one of the nicest men I've ever had the joy of knowing. A twinkle in his eyes, always a kind word, and a funny story to share. Memories of my childhood have your family front and center...all of us laughing. Uncle Pete had a good life and you could tell he loved it and all of you. So proud of his boys and his grandchildren, it was so very clear you brought joy to his heart.

Aunt Shirley, if we were...
