Not sure what to say?

Dear Peter,

You may have left this life for the next, but your message in your obituary will DEFINITELY save lives. My sister-in-law was diagnosed with colon cancer at age 33; never smoked, no family history, no apparent risk factors, and after battling courageously and fearlessly for 8 years, passed away at the age of 41. Mayloving memories bring your family comfort and peace and soon, may thinking of you and sharing stories of you bring more laughter than tears.

Dear Dawna,

So sorry about the passing of Pete - what a heartbreaking loss to you and his family. I was stunned! I was so sure he was on the mend; then this.
A good guy - I'll miss him. Love you.
Ken

I am not sure what drew me to read this obituary today Peter, but I did. It brought a tear to my eye and I'm so grateful I got to share a moment with you. What beautiful and touching words you sent to your family, friends and me a stranger. Rest in peace!

Hi Donna, John Adams here.... I had no idea, we lost touch and I havent thought of Pete in some time but recently could not get him out of my mind. I will miss laughing louder than anyone everytime we where together. I'm so sorry for you and everyones loss...Sad day for sure... :(

What a brave obituary. Thank you for spreading the word, Peter!

Having had someone dear to me who fought the exact same fight, I'm very touched by this self-written obituary. To Peter's family, may his benevolent act continue to add a bigger purpose and meaning to his brief life here on earth. Deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

My mom was one of the lucky ones and survived colon cancer. Out of her experience, I learned that life is short and the importance of early detection. While the process is not a pleasant one the ramifications of not being persistent outweigh any inconvenience. May loving memories and happy times keep you strong during such a difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
