The first thing you noticed was the smile. Warm, welcoming, mischevious and sincere all at the same time. I didn't know many people when I moved to Chicago. Pete was fantastic, one of the first and one of the best people I met. He always made me feel like an old friend, rather than just someone elses cousin.
