Not sure what to say?

Still really impossible to find a vet as caring as you.

I miss him so much. My dogs were patients of his for many years. He was one of my best friends.

I am devastated that I let my own health issues keep me from staying in touch with Pete, a unique and truly wonderful human being, whom I treasured. He was one of those rare people who made you feel like the most important person in the room. Karen, I love you and miss you.

We took our pets to Dr. Davis for 19 years, and he was an excellent vet.

I have so many great memories with the Davis family growing up on Sauvie Island. Ara was my best friend and I loved to go over to her house because Pete always had a new animal he was caring for. (Cy, the kitty who lost an eye, Felix, Oscar and Rosie - the baby raccoons who lost their mother and the snowy white owl. Loved them all!) Pete alway made me feel welcome in their family. Take care.

Dr. Davis was the absolute best! He treated our dogs like they were his own. I always walked away from appointments with Dr. Davis feeling a little lighter and cheerier—he brightened my disposition. I will miss you, Dr. Dave. Rest in peace.

I believe my wife, my children and I would add Pete's honesty to the list of prime attributes. We never had to worry whether or not Pete was giving us the truth and all of it about a pet's situation. Given that level of trust made difficult decisions far less burdensome. My memories of Pete span hunting and fishing together and...

I started my veterinary career in December 2011 when I volunteered at St. John's Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Davis hired me two months later as a kennel assistant and then took me back to work there as a CVT after I graduated in 2014. Dr. Davis was kind, compassionate, caring, and had the strongest work ethic. I remember him telling me I would make a good nurse for people and asked if I ever considered switching careers. I think of him often as I just graduated from nursing school and received my...

I dearly miss my friend Dr. Pete already. I was fortunate to have him as my vet for many years. He really cared for all of us... furry and non! Pete had a great sense of humor and it was always a pleasure to see him and hear from him. Thank you for touching so many lives. Rest easy my friend!
