So sad to see this come up in my feed this morning. Such a sweet and generous man.

FUNNY...WHIT AND A HEART OF GOLD..MY FIRST MEMORIES OF MR. DECKER WAS WHEN I WORKED AT CASA FRELLOS .. HIS FAMILY WOULD COME IN WHEN THE KIDS WERE YOUNG AND I WOULD WAIT ON THEM.. IT WAS A PLEASURE THEN SOON AFTER I WORKED AND FAUX FINISHED THERE HOME.... I LOVE THIS MAN AND HIS BEAUTIFUL WIFE BESS....AND SONS.... ONCE HER CAME TO A PARTY I HAD AT MY SISTERS AND MADE MY GRANDMOTHER FEEL LIKE HIS BEST FRIEND .... I LOVE PETE AND I RECALL PAINTING IN THERE KITCHEN AND LOOKING UP SEEING ...

Pete and I were voted most talented in our high school year book. We grew up in Norfolk three blocks from each other. I have heard throughout the years from friends still in Norfolk of Pete's success and painted cows.

Mr. Decker was an extrodinary man, and am proud to say I was born in Norfolk, the City he and you, Bess, did so much for. My Prayers are with you and your Family.
