Not sure what to say?

I was so stunned to hear of Peter's passing. I always remembered Peter as thoughtful, interesting, very kind and intelligent with a great sense of humor. I reflect back on Tom's picnic at Mission Beach just a few years ago. I had a nice visit with Peter and found him to be the w same witty and charming person I had known all the years he visited his parents home next door to mine at Mission Beach. Lovely memories. My condolences to his wonderful brothers, Father Tom and John. Love,...

Peter and I worked together from the early to mid 80's at the central kitchen of Gretchen's Of Course. He was part of wonderful crew preparing food for, at one point, 5 restaurants, plus daily catering orders for 10 to 10,000. It was a crazy and chaotic, but very fun place to work. Peter was always calm, funny and charming. Over the years a small group of us from that era would gather. One of our most meaningful meetups years later was to honor Gretchen in her final weeks of life as she was...

We grew up next door to the DeManns in the Summer time and Peter was much older than I, but my memories of him were his quiet reverence and wisdom.

All the memories of growing up at Mission Beach out of Marysville come flooding back. We were lucky enough to live next door to the DeMan family. Although the six of us kids joined in on the beach fun later, the thing I will always remember about Peter was his readiness to say "Prove it" to just about anything. Bless you Peter!

Peter and I shared our grade school experience through all 8 years and we spent many wonderful times together with his brother Tom and my wife Maureen at Mission Beach on the Tulalip Indian Reservation. Our toys were abandoned rowboats that we transformed into kids yachts and an old pair of snow skies that became water skies we towed behind a 5 horse Johnson. Rags, the dog,
trapped bullheads at low tide and stunk up the place when he got into the skunks...phew! Always a student and...

I will always remember my sister Mary Beth Hoban teasing Peter and making him laugh. Our families had beach houses close to each other so there were many "bunk house" beach fires and marshmallow roasts. Peter was very happy at Mission Beach. May he rest in peace and join his parents in heaven.
