Not sure what to say?

Uncle Pete was truly everything anyone who has nieces and nephews could ever hope to be. He always had a joke for any situation. If was at your expense you couldn't help but laugh at how clever it was. He was always there for us and I'm ashamed that I didn't spend more time with him in my adult years. Uncle "Wheatie"s is truly missed by so many and there's no way I can put into words how important he was and is in my life. I miss you Pete.

I wish I knew Pete. He sounds like he was a great man who will forever live in your hearts. This was beautiful Sarah.

My memories of Uncle Pete go back as far as I can remember, and they are all happy, fun, heart-warming memories that bring a smile to my face. I'd like to share a few of those. When I was six-years-old I asked him to teach me how to draw a star. I am artistically challenged and this patient man sat with me for the better part of an hour helping me improve my scribbles until I finally drew something resembling a star. My brothers and I always had a blast visiting his house in Rockville in the...

Jeannie and I were so sorry to here about Pete's passing. I know how devastated your family must be and we are praying for you. Pete was one of those guys you come across once in a lifetime. He could always make me laugh, even on my bad days. He was a true friend and brother to me. If you had the good fortune to know Pete you were truly blessed. He will be missed. God bless your family.

Pete loved his mountain home and did not mind the long commute that much. As a former neighbor, before my wife and I moved off the mountain, I enjoyed his friendship and his commitment, as president of our BOD, to the other homeowners "on the mountain", to keep the expenses low, keep the fees low, get the snow off the roads and to keep the board meetings short to get home in time to watch the Caps face-off. We'll miss you Pete.

I met Pete 6 years ago when I started at DOJ. His passion for DC sports was admirable. We'd debate and laugh for hours every time we chatted. I'll miss him as he was one of the "genuine good guys"!

Pete was the kind of guy who was even tempered and was allways upbeat and positive. We swapped several good stories and I will miss his down to earth attitude.

I worked with Pete for 25 years. He was a great teacher and later the "go to it" person. He loved a challenge, faced them head on, and found solutions to simplify the workload. His cube became the gathering place to discuss challenges within the workplace, new techniques and approaches to resolve issues and of course SPORTS (I believe it was an all day event).
Pete will be missed.

Pete was my friend and I will miss his jokes and smiling face.

May GOD grant the family the strength to go on and you are in my prayers.
