Peter was our RA at Middlebury in the Battel freshman dorm. What a decent guy! He inspired me to take a Physics Electronics course, and little did I know then that I'd use it in my career in renewable power development. My condolences. A true force for good!

Peter was a wonderful, extraordinary man and I feel a loss knowing he is gone from this world. His genuineness and sincerity was uncommon. I feel truly blessed to have known him in this world.

My early summers in Muskoka were golden because Peter Duncan was my sailing instructor. Peter and his entire family brought more than just sailing knowledge to the Muskoka Lakes Sailing Club; Peter's leadership, sense of humour, intelligence and great teaching abilities will never be forgotten. He fostered in all of us a sense of adventure and brought various editions of Scientific American to life for us when we were fixing boats. Sailing races were always better when Peter set the course,...

My sincerest condolences to all his loved ones. I met Peter 3 years ago when he led our strategic planning efforts. I met him through the professional work he did, but we really connected outside of work. He was kind, helpful and supportive even to a new friend. I spoke to him in late Nov and he told me he was feeling good. He offered to help me in a new job. I sent him a note just last week. I was surprised and devastated to learn of his passing. He kept it all so private. Even though our...

Dear Duncans, I was so very sorry to hear about Peter's passing. I had the good fortune to have Peter as my sailing instructor in the late '70's and early '80's. Peter was an excellent teacher and a true leader. I always found him to be motivating and truly inspirational. He cared about developing people and encouraging them to do their best as well as just helping them to learn a new skill. I have very fond memories of those days! We are all thinking of you here in Canada.
