About a week into double sessions 1977 the coaches were having a hard time finding players at the inside linebacker positions. The guys they were trying were really lineman and it wasn't working. Coach Ornato walked up to a drill and told the coaches... you need someone quick enough to get there before he's blocked, you need someone like (scanning the players} like Duncan.
