My sincerest condolences. Peter was a friend and a hero in many ways. I was a huge fan after encountering Peter's extraordinary talent while he was with the David Bromberg Band many years ago. To the Family of Peter Ecklund, I just wanted to say how sorry I was to read about Peter's passing on my facebook feed. I believe it was shared on a Trumpet Group web page. I got to know Peter a little bit while attending a Jazz in July Workshop at UMass Amherst, MA back in the summer of 2006.
